Having thrived in entrepreneurial & business environments for most of his life, Kirk Phillips brings a unique perspective to business, accounting and finance garnered from years of experience in fields such as construction, real estate, consulting, hazardous waste, jewelry, woodworking, and restaurants. An inventor himself, he comes from a family of inventors and entrepreneurs. He is also a self-taught master woodworker.
His first business venture, a woodworking business, got its start when he won the most prestigious award for business & entrepreneurial excellence from The Franklin P. Perdue School of Business. He then went on to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified in Financial Management (CFM) also winning distinguished examination performance awards. He has spent 15 years in public accounting and private industry, working for companies such as McGladrey & Pullen, one of the top five public accounting firms, and also passed the Series 65 and Series 66 securities examinations, expanding his knowledge of securities laws, financing, and capital markets.
Kirk has always been intrigued by the relationship that business processes & internal controls has on reducing business risk. His interest led to recently becoming a certified member (CFE) of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners which focuses on the education, prevention and detection of global fraud.
Kirk is past president of South Philadelphia Diversified Investors Group (DIG) where he presented on topics of finance, tax and real estate. He has also been a mentor and instructor at American Real Estate Investors Institute and taught real estate investing classes at Delaware County Community College. He has received advanced communication and leadership training through Dale Carnegie winning the highest award for achievement.
Kennerly oversees the marketing, communications and social media presence of invizibiz. “Eclectic” best describes the background of Kennerly who started her career in New York City with a degree in fashion merchandising, marketing and management. She later went on to receive her BA in English with Writing Emphasis at the University of San Franscisco.
She has worked in the magazine publishing industry, from advertising and editorial to promotions and distribution for Hearst Magazines. She also brings experience in public relations and writing grant proposals for non-profits.
In Philadelphia Metro she worked as a technical writer for PricewaterhouseCoopers and later as a web content developer at Xlibris, a print-on-demand book publishing firm.
Kennerly has an international perspective informed by three years of teaching English in japan and traveling extensively throughout Asia, the South Pacific, Central America and Europe
